At Ronald McDonald House Alberta, we are deeply committed to supporting families when they need it most. Our Edmonton House expansion is about more than bricks and mortar. As plans for a new children’s hospital take shape, we are eager to relocate nearby so families can stay only steps away from their child’s medical care. We know how much that proximity matters. When parents can stay close, it eases their stress, helps them focus on their child’s healing, and gives them the comfort of togetherness during challenging times.

While we await confirmation on where the new hospital will be built, the need for family-centered care continues to grow. Hundreds of families travel to Edmonton each year in search of pediatric care, and our current House cannot keep up with the demand. Moving forward with this expansion ensures we are ready to meet that need as soon as possible. This transformative project will double our capacity and serve thousands of families every year. More than a new space, it is a promise to continue providing comfort, care, and community for every family who needs it.
